There  be situations where it is good to understand some of the slang expressions below, but be cautious in using them yourself.

Dar la paliza To get on someone's nerves
Dar la lata / ser una lata To be annoying
Es un tío super borde He has a really bad attitude
Un tío / una tía paliza, pesado(a) An annoying man / woman
Es una tía un poco chunga She's a bit of a dodgy bird
Hola tío, ¿qué tal? Hello mate, how's things?
Es un tío legal  He's a good bloke
¿Qué pasa, colega? What's up, mate?
Dándome la paliza en el trabajo He is bugging me at work
Me estás cabreando You're getting on my nerves
El horno no está para bollos I am not in the mood for any nonsense.
¡Déjame en paz! Leave me in peace!
Tranqui tronco Chill out mate
Es un poco coñazo pero buena gente He's a bit of a pain but a good guy
Ser un cachondo / una cachonda Someone with a good sense of fun.
¡Pírate! / ¡Lárgate! / ¡Piérdete! Get lost!
¡Vete a freír espárragos! / ¡Vete a hacer puñetas!
Shut your mouth! ¡Cierre la boca!
Ser un plomo / plomazo / un muermo To be very boring
Me importa un pimiento I don't give a damn
Tener mala leche / uva / sangre To be a nasty person
Un chorbo / una chorba Somebody's boyfriend / girlfriend.
Esa tipa es la chorba de Jorge
Éste es el chorbo de Marta
That chick is Jorge's bird.                             This is Marta's bloke
Una piba / un pibe A young girl / boy
¿Hay algo para picar? Is there anything to nibble?
El / la de la vergüenza The last bit of food left in a shared dish
¿Alguien quiere la de la vergüenza? 
No, cómetela tú.
Anyone want the last one?                            No, you can have it.
Ir de chiringos To go out drinking
Un garito A drinking venue
Esta es la zona de garitos This is the bar area.
Empinar el codo / beber como una esponja / estar pedo / peo To have a lot to drink / be drunk
Una resaca A hangover
